		<description>1 Hi Charles,
My name is Adrian Clamp. Myself and my wife Alison met you in New York this week. We are back home in Wolverhampton, England, now and we would both like to thank you for your hospitality in showing us the way in New York and around your amazing studio and living quarters. It was a great chance meeting, only days before had we visited the Mus.of Modern Art where I had purchased the Chuck Close exh. catalogue. We walked over to Chuck Closes studio rang the bell and were allowed in to meet Chuck. It was a fantastic experience, we were both conscious of using up his time so we only stayed for about 5 minutes. He seemed to value the image of my work I gave to him on a postcard which was a great thrill for me. I was very surprised that he seemed to have no artistic ego, he seemed very humble and relaxed. What a wonderful guy. I will send you the photo&#039;s we took in your studio as soon as I can when I scale down the files.

Thanks once again and keep in touch.

Adrian and Alison Clamp.
